Seasonal Cashier Position | City Floral Garden Center

City Floral is hiring seasonal cashiers. This is a full-time, seasonal position. The position involves processing all financial transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures.  This position plays a fundamental role in achieving customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Process all customer purchases and operate the registers in accordance with point-of-sale system operating procedures.
• Accurately scan goods and collect payments, redeem coupons, and make change.
• Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new products.
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the establishment.
• Bag, box or wrap purchases with care.
• Provide pleasant customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with all sales and new products, validate price.
• Handle refunds and exchanges while maintaining a friendly disposition.
• Clean and maintain work area per sanitation protocols.
• Be willing to assist other departments.
• Answer phones in a timely and pleasant manner.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven work experience in retail cashier or sales position.
• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g., POS registers, scanners, credit card machines, radios, etc.).
• Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills.
• Attention to details and basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for at least an 8-hour period.
• Must have reliable transportation and be dependable.
• Must be able to work weekends, overtime, and 6 days a week when required.

Other:

• $18.30/Hr
• This is a full-time, seasonal position. Must be at least 18 years old to apply, we are not currently taking high school applicants.
