Who are we?

City Floral Garden Center is the only full-service, year-round garden center within the Denver city limits.

Located in the Northeast Denver neighborhood of Mayfair, we’ve been growing and selling plants since 1911 – Yep, 110+ years! You can read more about our history here.

We are a fun-loving, plant-loving group that welcomes people from all communities and backgrounds. At City Floral, work hard, get dirty, and have a blast doing it.

We are professionals in our green industry. Our staff includes experts as well as enthusiastic crew members who are hungry to learn and eager to pass that knowledge along to our customers.

To top it off, our workplace is filled to the brim with beautiful, fragrant plants that give us fresh air to breathe all day, every day.

City Floral has a position designed for high school students who are looking for part‑time work. This role is ideal for students who want consistent part‑time work during the spring and the chance to gain more experience and hours once school is out.

Sustainability: Striving to reduce our environmental impact
From reusing plastic pots and plant trays, to growing a substantial amount of the plants we sell, we strive for sustainability every day at City Floral Garden Center.
We have a rebate program for returned boxes or flats from the store. City Floral sources as much of our inventory as possible from local suppliers, reducing our carbon footprint and keeping money in our local economy. Additionally, we advocate for more urban gardening to help beautify our neighborhoods and clean our city air.

Knowledge Sharing: Imparting plant and gardening knowledge to everyone
One of the best parts of our job here at City Floral is sharing the knowledge of plants! We strive to be an invaluable resource for our customers and anyone who wants to learn. The more people who know how to grow, the better our city – and planet – will be.
Our staff is always available to answer your questions, give advice, and make suggestions – just ask! Or if you are a do-it-yourself type, our website has loads of information in the form of blogs, printable plant lists, and external resources to help you succeed in all of your gardening endeavors.
We also offer classes and workshops, taught by gardening experts, for a more hands-on learning experience.
