A popular sun-loving plant for every home
Succulents and cactus come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. With all these varieties, they have one thing in common—they love a lot of light. Placing them in the sunniest spot in your home is best. Water them when dried out, and you’ll have a happy plant. Their ease of maintenance is due to their love of hot and dry climates.
Cactus and succulents thrive in bright direct light but have some ability to handle bright indirect light. Place in a bright sunny window and watch them grow!
Depending on the size of the cactus or succulent, watering every 2-3 weeks, allowing the soil to dry completely between watering is ideal. When watering, be sure to soak them until water drains out of the pot.
Cactus and succulents grow best in a well-draining succulent mix. It’s important that water can drain quickly to reduce standing water, which is bad for them.
We suggest Fertilome Succulent Mix
Fertilizing cactus and succulents in the growing season helps give them that little extra boost to grow bigger and faster.
We suggest Espoma Cactus! Plant Food
The optimum temperature range for cactus and succulents is 65-90° F. It’s best not to let it go below 60° F.
Cactus and succulents love humidity, so really any level of humidity is perfect!
