Hibiscus is also called rose-of-Sharon or shrub Althaea.
Two to four inch single, double, or semi-double flowers in late summer with light green foliage. Some varieties have variegated leaves. Flower colors include white, pink, red, blue, and violet bicolors.

Light & Soil: Full to partial sun. Moist, well-drained soil.
Height: 6-10 feet or more.
Soot-resistant. Can be trained to tree form through pruning. Use in hard-to-plant, narrow areas. Plant in hedges, screens, or as specimen plants. Young plants will need winter protection in the winter. Valued for its late blooming color.
