This Front Range Premium bluegrass seed is an excellent blend that is made of 100% improved and elite-types of Kentucky bluegrasses. The cultivars in this blend are all fine-leaved and genetically dark green in coloring. They are fast to germinate with excellent seeding vigor. This blend is very drought tolerant because the grasses have been bred to reach dormancy very slowly from lack of irrigation. Once water is applied, they are the quickest to recover.
This gorgeous blend withstands foot traffic, even sports fields. All the cultivars are rated high in tests for their excellent winter color. They form a strong, aggressive, and dense sod that remains persistent even under low-maintenance conditions and low-fertility soils. Front Range Premium Blues has a very high resistance to leaf rust, stripe rust, and powdery mildew. It is also highly resistant to leaf spot, brown patch, dollar spot, and fusarium blight. Front Range Premium Blues is also heat and cold tolerant.
Front Range Premium Bluegrass seed can be planted in full sun or moving shade. Likes to get 6 – 8 hours of sun a day.Â
A healthy, high-quality bluegrass lawn may need up to 2.25 inches of water per week under hot, dry, windy summer conditions. It may require much less when the weather is cool or cloudy.
This Front Range Premium Bluegrass seed grows well in a wide range of soil types. Great for most Colorado soils, but if you need to amend your soil, ask a City Floral expert for help choosing the right soils for your yard.Â
Fertilizing your lawn at least 4 times throughout the year. The best times are in early spring, early summer, mid-to-late summer, and fall. Each time requires a different type of fertilizer, be sure to ask a City Floral expert for help determining which fertilizer to use.Â

Hydrangeas do well in partially shaded areas like under a large tree or on the side of a house. They like to receive sun in the morning, and the partial shade is in the heat of the afternoon. In Colorado, too much full sun will cause them to get sunburned.
Hydrangea shrubs need to have well-draining soils that is rich in organic matter. Most Colorado soils will benefit from the addition of peat moss and compost that helps retain moisture. The pH determines the colors of the blooms. Acidic soil will give you blue flowers, and alkaline soil gives you pink flowers. Â
If hydrangea shrubs are given too much high-nitrogen fertilizer, they may grow full and lush, but there will be fewer flowers. If the soil is rich, fertilizer is not needed. Otherwise, a light application in March or April may be warranted.
Make sure to water your hydrangea shrubs regularly. Those big blooms require a lot of water to stay lush and full. About one inch of water throughout the week is ideal. If they receive more sun give them at least two inches during the hotter summer days.
